Download EBookNEW DELHI, JUNE 27 : Joint Seat Allocation Authority has published the result of JoSAA 2018 seat allotment round 1. Candidates who completed the registration process and met the determined eligibility criteria can now check their allotment status in online mode. The allotted candidates will have to download and print out their seat allocation letter for admission confirmation. Allotment of seats has been done after taking the following points into consideration – category of the candidate, position in the rank list, selected choices of the candidates and availability of seats.

Steps to check JoSAA 2018 seat allotment
The candidates can use the given steps to check the seat allotment status and download the allotment letter:

The link to check the seat allotment status is available on the official website of JoSAA.

Candidates will have to enter their JEE Main roll number and password.

The allotment status will be displayed on the screen

The provisional seat allotment letter has to be downloaded and printed out by the candidates.

It is to be noted that the allotment letter has to be kept safe for future use.
The process of document verification and acceptance of allotted seat will be open from June 28 to July 2, 2018. During this period, the allotted candidates will have to pay the seat allocation acceptance fee in online mode (SBI net banking) or offline (e-challan). After payment, the documents have to be verified at the nearest reporting centre. Along with verification, the candidates will also be able to select any of the given options for the seat allocation process:

Freeze – Acceptance of allotted seat.

Float – Acceptance of allotted seat but also open for admissions into a more preferred institute.

Slide – Acceptance of allotted seat but also open for admissions into a more preferred course in the same institute.
