JoSAA 2018 Round 6 Seat Allotment Result Announced

NEW DELHI, July 16: The result for round 6 of seat allotment for JoSAA 2018 has been announced on July 15 in online mode. Candidates can check the result of JoSAA seat allotment by logging in using their JEE Main roll number and password.
The seats allotted to candidates in this round are on the basis of merit, choice filling and availability of seats.

Visit the official website of JoSAA

Click on “Round 6: View allotment result and pay seat acceptance fee” link as visible

Login using JEE Main roll number and password

The seat allotment result of round 6 will be visible displayed on the screen

Check the result and download it for future use
What to do after seat allotment?
Candidates will have two options – either to accept the seat or upgrade it.
In order to accept the seat, candidates will have to visit the institute allotted along with the necessary documents. In case, candidates want to upgrade their allotted seat, they need to visit the institute and inform the authorities about the same. This way they will have a chance to get the higher allotments available as options.
It is to noted that this is the last round for upgradation of seats, after this, seats will not be upgraded, only allotted.
How to do upgradation of seats
C andidates will have three options of f reeze, slide or float. I f candidate is satisfied with the seat allot tment, then they need to freeze it. In case, candidate wants to upgrad e their allotted seat within the same institute then they may use the slide option. If the candidate wants to use float option, he or she opens option for upgradation to all the institutes participating in the counselling and seat allotment process.
