JoSAA 2024 counseling registration and choice-filling process will begin today, June 10.
NEW DELHI: The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will commence the JoSAA 2024 registration process and choice-filling today, June 10. The JoSAA has announced the category-wise, top 20 percentile cut-off marks out of the total 500 marks for 2023 and 2024.
JoSAA counseling facilitates admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), and other engineering colleges. About 15 lakh JEE-2024(Main) candidates are eligible to participate for about 42,000 seats for the NIT+ System. This year, there will be a total of five rounds of seat allocation conducted by JoSAA.
JoSAA 2024: Top 20 percentile criteria
The JoSAA top 20 percentile criterion is utilized to assess the eligibility of candidates for admission to the IITs and NIT+ system. According to this criterion, candidates must either score within the top 20 percentile of their respective boards or qualify the JEE Advanced examination to be considered eligible for admission.
IIT Admission 2024 Eligibility: 75% aggregate marks criteria
Candidates are required to have completed their Class 12 (or equivalent) board examination with a minimum of five subjects, obtaining an aggregate score of at least 75%. For candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Person with Disabilities (PwD) categories, the minimum aggregate marks required are 65%
