The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has released the Round 1 opening and closing ranks (OR-CR) for admissions to Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and other Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs) for the 2026-27 academic session. Along with the round 1 seat allotment result, JoSAA has published the opening and closing ranks (OR-CR) for all participating institutes and programmes. The opening rank refers to the highest-ranked candidate who secured admission to a particular course, while the closing rank denotes the last rank at which a seat was allotted in that category and round.

At IIT Bombay, Computer Science and Engineering remained the most competitive programme, closing at AIR 65 in Round 1.
