Along with the round 1 seat allotment result , JoSAA has published the opening and closing ranks (OR-CR) for all participating institutes and programmes. The opening rank refers to the highest-ranked candidate who secured admission to a particular course, while the closing rank denotes the last rank at which a seat was allotted in that category and round.

At IIT Bombay, Computer Science and Engineering remained the most competitive programme, closing at AIR 65 in Round 1.
