NEW DELHI: The West Bengal Police Recruitment Board (WBPRB) has commenced the registration process for the Kolkata Police constable recruitment 2024. Interested and eligible candidates can fill the application form by visiting the official website at wbpolice.gov.in. The deadline to apply for Kolkata Police constable recruitment 2024 is March 29.
The Kolkata police recruitment drive 2024 aims to fill a total of 3,734 constable vacancies, including 3,464 for male constables and 270 for female constables. Candidates will have the chance to edit their information on the application form from April 1 to April 7.
The Kolkata Police constable selection process includes a preliminary written test that serves as a screening exam, followed by the Physical Measurement Test (PMT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), final written examination, and an interview round.

The preliminary exam will have 100 objective type questions. The duration of the paper will be 1 hour. The prelims paper will be divided into three sections- General awareness, mathematics and reasoning. The medium of the paper will be in Bengali and Nepali except questions on English language. The marks of the preliminary examination will not be used to prepare the final merit list.

Candidates who qualify in the PMT and PET will be called to appear in the final written exam. The paper will carry a total of 85 marks. The paper will be divided into 4 sections- general awareness and general Knowledge, English, elementary mathematics , reasoning and logical analysis. The duration of the paper will be 1 hour. Candidates will receive 1 mark for each correct answer and one fourth of the marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer
