MP teacher suspended for allegedly molesting 3 girls, showing obscene videos

Bhopal: A teacher allegedly molested three girl students and showed them obscene videos at a government-run primary school in Madhya Pradesh's Umaria district, an official said on Monday. Based on a complaint lodged by a parent, the police have registered a case under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and the accused teacher has been suspended with immediate effect and attached to the Block Education Officer's office in Manpur, the official said.

The complainant alleged that the teacher, Komalchandra Gupta, molested three girls and showed them obscene videos on the pretext of giving them chocolates on August 22. He also allegedly threatened to beat the girls with a stick if they told anyone about it, the official said. A woman from Sultanpur village complained to the in-charge headmaster of the government primary school that assistant teacher Komalchandra Gupta had molested girls. A subsequent investigation found the allegations against Gupta to be true, the official said.
