Mahindra University launches 3-year LLB programme

Mahindra University’s School of Law launches a three-year LLB programme. Last date for registration is on October 27, 2022.
NEW DELHI: Mahindra University’s School of Law, Hyderabad launches a three-year LLB programme. The university will not be accepting applications after October 27, 2022.
The approved intake has been limited to only 60 students. These students are required to have a score of 60 percent or an equivalent grade in their under graduation. Eligible candidates will undergo a panel interview to secure an admission.
The course syllabus will cover Indian legal systems and public international law among other areas. This programme is a multidisciplinary curriculum that aims at industry-specific specializations as elective honors to train students in the dynamic judicial environment and enable them to become well-rounded professionals that are capable of handling complex situations.

The programme aims to train legal professionals in various domains such as corporate law, business law, criminal law, international law, intellectual property law, civil and technology law, private law, and public law. The university will also be providing a student exchange programme with foreign universities that will open global career opportunities in addition to the domestic prospects that will later be available for the students.
Mahindra University has designed this course in accordance to current industry trends and also puffers courses that strictly reflect new regulatory regimes, value add audit courses and other credit courses, besides the mandatory courses prescribed by the Bar Council of India (BCI).
On the introduction of this LLB programme, Mahindra University, vice-chancellor, Yajulu Medury, said: “As one of the largest and most dynamic professions in India, the faculty of law requires practitioners to be agile and flexible in their learnings and outlook towards the judiciary. Over the past two decades, the demand for trained legal professionals has grown rapidly. As per recent industry estimates, the intake for law professionals across India’s leading law firms in 2021 exhibited an uptake of almost 15-25 percent and it’s further expected to grow in the coming years. Our vision behind this innovative LLB program is to offer students in-depth knowledge about the intricacies of law and enable them to leverage this knowledge in the service of the society and protection of the greater good.”
