Marwadi University,Tech Mahindra join hands to boost industry-academia ties, equip students with AI, ML skills

Marwadi University and Tech Mahindra, a technology consulting, digital solutions, have entered into a partnership to strengthen industry-academia engagement and prepare students for the digital, technology-driven workforce.

The collaboration will equip students with skills and exposure to advanced technology such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, cloud computing, data science, cyber security, DevOps, SAP, salesforce, IoT, and full stack development.

The agreement signed between Marwadi University and Tech Mahindra also includes an establishment of a Centre of Excellence (CoE). The new building will support upskilling, cross-skilling, collaborative learning, and innovation-driven activities.

Highlights of Marwadi University, Tech Mahindra deal

Sanjeet Singh, pro vice chancellor, Marwadi University, said: “The collaboration comes at a time when higher education institutions across India are increasingly focusing on experiential learning models and industry integration. The primary intent of this alliance is to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry expectations by enabling students and faculty to engage with real-world technologies and professional practices.”

With an aim to improve employability, students will also gain access to internships, industry visits, workshops, webinars, seminars, competitions, and recruitment pathways as part of the deal.

“To ensure effective implementation, the partnership will be governed through a joint governance structure comprising a Strategic and Governance Board and a Program Management Committee,” according to an official statement.

Creating opportunities for academic excellence, applied research, and technology-driven problem solving, both institutions will participate in collaborative research, innovation, and joint intellectual property development, it said.
