The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will release the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) counselling 2026 schedule for admission to MBBS, BDS programmes soon. Following the pattern, counselling is conducted for candidates who have cleared the NEET UG examination.

The authority will allot seats to candidates based on their All India Rank, choices filled, availability of seats, and reservation rules. Around 1,36,939 seats for the MCC NEET UG counselling 2026 process will be offered by the National Medical Commission (NMC).

NEET 2026 Counselling: Eligibility

Before registering for MCC NEET counselling 2026, candidates must check that they:

  1. Have qualified NEET UG 2026.

  2. Fulfil the eligibility criteria prescribed by NMC and MCC.

  3. Meet the category-specific qualifying percentile.

  4. Register online within the stipulated period.

  5. Possess all required original documents.

NEET 2026 Counselling: Documents required

Candidates can check the list of documents required during the MCC NEET Counselling 2026 process is mentioned below:

  • NEET UG 2026 Admit Card

  • NEET Scorecard

  • Class 10 Certificate

  • Class 12 Mark Sheet

  • Identity Proof

  • Passport-size Photographs

  • Category Certificate (if applicable)

  • PwD Certificate (if applicable)

  • Domicile Certificate (where required)

  • Allotment Letter

In 2025, MCC issued the NEET UG counselling dates on July 12, and the round 1 registration commenced on July 21, 2025.

NEET UG 2026 seat matrix

The MCC will release the NEET UG 2026 seat matrix before the commencement of each counselling round. The seat matrix will include the number of available seats across participating medical and dental colleges under:

  • 15% All India Quota (AIQ) MBBS and BDS seats
  • 100% seats in AIIMS, JIPMER, BHU, AMU, ESIC, and other central universities
  • Deemed universities
  • Central universities
  • AFMC (through a separate admission process after NEET qualification)

The seat matrix is updated before every round to reflect vacant, newly added, and surrendered seats.
