MET 2020 online proctored test concludes; score card available now

NEW DELHI: Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) has completed the process of conducting the remote proctored online test for admissions into the institute campuses. Manipal Entrance Test (MET) was held from August 1 to 12. Due to COVID-19 pandemic, MET 2020 was not held at the centres, but the students had to attempt it from their home. The students were able to check their scores immediately after the Manipal test concluded. The authorities have also released the link to download the score card of MET 2020 at results.manipal.edu.

Steps to check MET 2020 score card

• Go to the official website (results.manipal.edu)

• Students will have to enter their application number and OTBS password

• Click on ‘Submit’

• The score card will be displayed

• Students will have to download the score card for future use

Student’s analysis of MET 2020

According to the students, MET 2020 was moderate to difficult. Many students found the Mathematics section to be tough, while Physics and Chemistry was seen as relatively easier. The English section had easier questions but around six or seven required some time to think over. There were no general ability questions and everything in this section was based on grammar related questions.

For Mathematics, most of the questions were from the 11th standard syllabus. Topics such as conics, integration and more were covered in this section. Physics was of moderate difficulty and a lot of the questions were formula based. Questions such as ‘1 Curie = ?’ were asked. The Chemistry section, which was seen as comparatively easier than Physics and Mathematics, had almost 20 numerical based questions out of the total 50. Most of the questions were from Organic Chemistry.

Technical difficulties in MET 2020

Some of the students reported facing a bit of technical difficulties during the examination due to a bad network. This ended up causing anxiety to many since the authorities had mentioned that login will be allowed only five times. If the students login after the 5th time, then their test would be counted as invalid. One student ended up losing around half an hour due to technical difficulties, however the proctor gave him an additional 15 minutes to compensate for the lost time.

What is next in MET 2020?

MAHE is expected to release the MET 2020 result/merit list on August 14. The merit list will be declared in online mode at the official website and the candidates will be able to check their secured ranks which is an important factor for admissions.
