NEW DELHI: The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) 2023 day 3 shift 2 exam for physics, chemistry and mathematics (PCM) subject has ended. Candidates appearing for the exam can download the MHT CET 2023 admit card from the official website, cetcell.mahacet.org 2023 or mhtcet2023.mahacet.org 2023.
The MHT CET 2023 PCM exam will be held till May 12, 2023 while the MHT CET 2023 PCB exams is from May 15 to 20, 2023. As per the exam pattern, the MHT CET 2023 exam will be held for 180 minutes. There will be 150 multiple-choice questions for a total of 200 marks. There will be no negative marking for the wrong attempts.

The MHT CET 2023 exams will be conducted in two shifts- first shift from 9 AM to 12 noon and the second between 2 PM to 5 PM. To prepare for the exam, candidates will be able to attempt MHT CET mock tests on the Maharashtra CET Cell's official website.

MHT CET marking scheme is based on the three question papers. Paper 1 is about maths and has 50 questions. Each question is of 2 marks thereby making the total maximum marks in paper 1 to be 100. Paper 2 includes 50 questions each from Physics and Chemistry subjects and 1 mark is allotted to each question. The total marks for Paper 2 are 100 as well. Paper 3 has 100 questions from Biology subject and each question has 1 mark weightage, hence, the total marks being 100.
MHT CET result 2023 is used by 400 colleges out of which 368 are private and the rest public.
MHT CET answer key 2023 is expected to be announced after the PCM and PCB exams have concluded. Last year, the answer key was released on September 1 and the PCM exam was held between August 5 and August 11 while PCB was held between August 12 and August 20.

MHT CET percentile 2023 = 100 * (Number of candidates in the exam with normalized marks ≤ the candidate) ÷ Total number of MHT CET candidates.
MHT CET candidates who attained a rank between 1 and 19,000 were in the 100-90 percentile last year while those with a rank between 19,001 and 30,000 were in the percentile 90-81.
Candidates who get marks above 180 are expected to score 100 or 99.50 percentile, while those scoring 170-180 are expected to score 99 percentile. 160-170 marks in MHT CET result 2023 are expected to be in the 98.50 percentile and 150-160 marks and 140-150 are expected to be in the 98 and 97 percentile respectively.

MHT CET 2023 PCB and PCM exams will include 20% weightage from the following chapters from Class 11 syllabus:
Biology: biomolecules, respiration and energy transfer, human nutrition, excretion, and osmoregulation.
Mathematics: trigonometry II, straight line, circle, measures of dispersion, probability, complex numbers, permutations and combinations, functions, limits, continuity.
Chemistry: few basic chemistry concepts, structure of atom, chemical bonding, redox reactions, element of groups 1 and 2, States of matter - gaseous and liquid, adsorption and colloids - surface chemistry, hydrocarbons, basic principles from organic chemistry.
Physics: motion in a plane, laws of motion, gravitation, thermal properties of matter, sound, optics, electrostatics, semiconductors.

MHT CET cut off 2023 will be released after PCM and PCB exams have been conducted. Separate cut off lists will be announced for each counselling rounds. Based on college and course, Maharashtra CET 2023 cutoff will be announced.
MHT CET question paper include 20% weightage from syllabus of Class 11 and 80% syllabus from Class 12. In PCM, out of 50 questions total, 10 questions are asked from Class 11 curriculum and 40 questions from Class 12 curriculum. In PCB, 100 questions in Biology are divided into 20 and 80 questions from Class 11 and 12 curriculum respectively.
After MHT CET Result 2023 has been declared, MHT CET counselling 2023 will begin. The selected candidates will be issued their allocated seats in different participating colleges as per their rankings.
The result of MHT CET will be given in percentile score. This is a normalized score calculated instead of providing raw marks of the candidate’s performance in the exam. The percentile score is calculated up to 7 decimal places which is expected to avoid bunching effect and decrease ties.
MHT CET 2023 will not have any negative marking. The candidates will get 90 minutes to solve questions manually.
