More than 1.78 lakh youngsters got govt employment in last 7 years in Delhi: Manish Sisodia

Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia today presented a Rs 75,800 crore budget in the Assembly for the financial year 2022-23.
NEW DELHI: Over 1.78 lakh youngsters got government employment in the last seven years in Delhi, and 51,307 of them got permanent jobs, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said in his Budget speech in the Assembly on Saturday. This is the eighth consecutive budget of the Aam Aadmi Party government and is a "Rojgaar Budget", Sisodia said.

"I have brought an agenda for job creation and to give respite to people from impact of COVID-19," he said. The private sector in Delhi generated more than 10 lakh jobs since COVID-19 broke out, Sisodia said in the Assembly.
Sisodia on Saturday presented a Rs 75,800 crore budget in the Assembly for the financial year 2022-23. "Delhi's economy is recovering gradually from the impact of COVID-19. The budget allocation for 2022-23 is Rs 75,800 crore," Sisodia said in his budget speech. The budget size for the financial year 2021-22 was Rs 69,000 crore. The budget size for 2022-23 is 9.86 per cent higher than the previous year. He also said the per capita income of Delhi is 2.7 per cent higher than the national average.

Delhi Chief Minister congratulated Sisodia on presenting budget and said in a tweet, "Many congratulations to Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Shri Manish Sisodia ji for presenting the “Employment Budget” for Delhi. This budget will create employment on a large scale for the youth. Every section of Delhi has been taken care of in this budget."
