NEW DELHI: National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has invited applications from medical professionals seeking grant of faculty title “NBEMS Honorary Professor”. Medical professionals who fulfil the eligibility criteria will be able to submit their application form through the official website, natboard.edu.in, from April 18.

Applicants who possess the Post PG experience in the concerned specialty either as an NBEMS faculty or consultant on full time basis for a particular DNB/DrNB course in any of the NBEMS accredited hospitals or institutions will be eligible to apply for the NBEMS Honorary Professor title.

As per the eligibility criteria, for broad specialty courses, applicants should have at least 18 years of experience and for super specialty courses, they should possess 16 years of experience. However, the NBE also said that a faculty may be considered for grant of title irrespective of whether the prescribed minimum requisite experience is in continuity or not.

“The experience mentioned by the applicant in his/her application form for a DNB/DrNB course in any of the NBEMS accredited departments will be considered only if he/she was an approved faculty by the NBEMS for that particular period or was working in concerned accredited department on full time basis,” NBE clarified.
