NEW DELHI: Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Monday confirmed that NEET 2021 exam will be conducted on September 12. As per the latest news on NEET UG 2021, the number of cities where the examination will be conducted has been increased from 155 to 198. Earlier, there were 3,862 NEET exam centres.

The decision of increasing the NEET 2021 exam centres has been taken into consideration to ensure social distancing norms and to curb the spread of COVID-19.
The NTA will be releasing the official NEET 2021 notification regarding the increase in NEET exam centres/cities on the official website - nta.nic.in. The authorities will allow students to select the exam cities while filling the NEET application form 2021.
The Education Minister also confirmed that “To ensure adherence to COVID-19 protocols, face masks will be provided to all candidates at the centre. Staggered time slots during entry and exit, contactless registration, proper sanitisation, seating with social distancing etc. will also be ensured.”
The NEET (UG) 2021 will be held on 12th September 2021 across the country following COVID-19 protocols. The application process will begin from 5 pm tomorrow through the NTA website(s).

The NEET 2021 application process will begin from 5 pm onwards through the NTA website(s) - nta.ac.in or neet.nta.nic. Aspirants fulfilling the eligibility criteria can register themselves till the NEET application form last date.
NEET will be conducted for admission to 83,075 MBBS, 26,949 BDS, 52,720 AYUSH, 603 BVSc, and AH seats across India. From last year, the admission to 1,899 AIIMS and 249 JIPMER medical seats is also done through the NEET entrance exam.
