NEET PG Result 2026 Live: NBEMS publishes PG result online; individual scorecards, answer keys on Oct 1

NBEMS has announced the NEET PG 2026 cut-offs. General and EWS candidates need 262 marks, corresponding to the 50th percentile. General PwBD candidates need 244 marks, while SC, ST and OBC candidates, including PwBD candidates from these categories, need 226 marks.

NEET Result is out and qualified candidates are eligible to participate in the counselling process which will be conducted by MCC soon.

A total of 2,63,544 candidates appeared in the examination on August 30, while 2,416 candidates took the re-examination conducted on September 5 at Jaipur. The re-exam was conducted for few candidates as two test centres in the city could not complete the examination due to an internal power failure.

Minimum qualifying or eligibility for General/EWS is 50th percentile. For General PwBD, it is 45th percentile. For SC/ST/OBC (Including PwBD of SC/ST/OBC), it is 40th percentile.

NBEMS in its result notice has stated that no questions ahev been found incorrect. The notice reads, "Each and every question asked in both the question papers of NEET-PG 2026 was reviewed by faculty members from the concerned specialty area after the conduct of NEET-PG 2026 to re-check for technical correctness of the questions as well as answer keys. None of the questions have been found technically incorrect."

Score cards issued to candidates shall have a mention of the MBBS/FMGE Aggregate marks as provided by the candidates in their application form wherever such aggregate marks have been used to break the tie of NEET-PG 2026 Rank. In an event it is noted that the information provided in the NEET-PG 2026 application form is incorrect and this criterion has been utilized to resolve the tie of the concerned candidate, his/her candidature for NEET-PG 2026 shall be cancelled.

The final merit list or category-wise merit list for state quota seats shall be generated by the states/UT as per their qualifying or the eligibility criteria, applicable guidelines and regulations and reservation policy.

NEET PG 2026 rank is the overall merit position of the candidate amongst all the candidates who have appeared in the NEET-PG 2026. NBEMS result notice reads, "The NEET-PG 2026 rank has been arrived at on the basis of actual marks scored by the candidates in NEET-PG 2026 and applicable tie breaking criteria as mentioned in the information bulletin of NEET-PG 2026."

The Medical Counselling Committee, MCC will soon release the counselling schedule for NEET PG. Those who have secured above the cut-off marks, are eligible to participate in the same.

India currently has 86,360 postgraduate (PG) medical seats. 5,000 additional PG medical seats will be created during 2025-26 to 2028-29. The cost ceiling has also been enhanced to Rs 1.50 crore per seat. Check NMC guidelines .

Minutes after publishing the NEET PG result out notice, the natboard website has stopped responding. Candidates are advised to refresh the page after 10-15 minutes to check and download rank card from natboard.edu.in.

Following the Supreme Court's directive to maintain transparency, NBEMS was supposed to release the NEET PG answer key before results. However, the NBEMS has released result without publishing answer key.

Ahead of its scheduled date, NBEMS has published the NEET PG result 2026 today for those who appeared in any of August 30 and September 5 re-exam. Candidates will be able to check NEET PG scorecards from NBEMS website on or after October 1. The scorecards will remain actobe for six months from the date of issuance.

The NEET PG 2026 answer key release date has not been officially confirmed yet. The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) is expected to release the answer key soon, along with the candidates’ recorded responses. As per information bulletin, NEET PG results are scheduled to be declared by September 30, 2026. However, the chief has told Times Now that results are expected today.

After the NEET PG result 2026, candidates are required to appear for the counselling. The registration fee for NEET PG Counselling 2026 is below:

• AIQ or Central University General category candidates- Rs. 1000/-
• SC/ST/OBC/PwD category candidates- Rs. 500/-
• Deemed university candidates- Rs. 5000/-

As per the marking scheme, candidates will be given four marks for each correct answer, and -1 mark will be deducted for each wrong response. No marks will be awarded for unanswered questions.
