Re-NEET 2026: Discrepancies in uploaded OMR sheet
A NEET UG candidate Ibtesham Nasar has alleged inconsistency in the OMR sheet released by the NTA, claiming that the uploaded response sheet did not match the answers she had marked during the re-examination.
As per the candidate, she was expecting a score of around 595 marks, but the result declared her score to be around 60. She alleged that the OMR sheet uploaded by the NTA showed a different pattern of marked responses and included answers for questions she had intentionally left unanswered. The candidate found multiple mismatches after comparing the uploaded OMR with the responses on her question paper.
In the tweet she wrote, "I challenged almost every incorrect response in the uploaded OMR, spending Rs 27,800 in challenge fees (₹200 per question). Despite this, I have received no response from the NTA." She also said that she emailed the NTA, requesting verification of her original physical OMR sheet and an investigation into the alleged discrepancy.
