Nestle India launches virtual internship for 1000 graduates

NEW DELHI: Nestlé India, a company that operates in the food segment, has launched a virtual internship programme for graduates and postgraduates in any stream of studies.
Called “Nesternship”, the internship programme aims to help young graduates who may lose opportunities due to the Covid-19 pandemic and its adverse effect on the economy, the company said in a statement.
The programme will roll out virtual internship opportunities to 1000 young talents over the next four months.The programme will go live on 1st August 2020 and will continue for four months, with upskilling 250 interns every month till end of November.
It will focus on upskilling and enabling the interns to thrive in workplaces that they join, at a later date.
”Through this internship, we would be offering youngsters an opportunity to develop their skills and they will be paid a stipend and awarded a certificate on successful completion of the project, said Suresh Narayanan, Chairman and Managing Director, Nestlé India
How to Apply
Applicants can log on to the internship portal, Internshala, to apply. They can also use social media handles of Nestlé India to send the applications.
The registrations for the internship programme will begin on July 8 and remain open for 3 days. Any student, irrespective of their field or stream can apply for the internship.
The opening of the registration process will be communicated through social media channels like LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram and also on the Internshala website.
The shortlisting will be carried out using various parameters, including high school marks, graduation score, and other elements such as previous experience or internships, if applicable.
Nesternship will also offer a platform for developing the soft skills of the interns through pre-recorded learning sessions.
The interns will be “paid a stipend and awarded a certificate on successful completion of the project,” the statement added.
