NIFT 2022: Application form to be released soon; Know who can apply

NEW DELHI:
The National Institute of Fashion Technology will soon start the registration for NIFT entrance exam 2022 from the last week of October 2021. NIFT application form 2022 will be available online at nift.ac.in. Interested aspirants wishing to appear in the NIFT entrance exam are required to meet the stated eligibility criteria.

NIFT 2022 eligibility criteria
Design aspirants meeting the specified NIFT eligibility criteria 2022 for the concerned programme can apply for the NIFT entrance exam. NIFT eligibility criteria for Bachelor of Design (BDes) and Bachelor of Fashion Technology (BFTech) programmes are as follows.
Qualifying Age

General category and OBC - NCL candidates' maximum age must be less than 24 years as on August 1, 2022. However for the SC/St/PwD candidates the upper age limit gets relaxation of 5 years.
Qualifying education for BDes programmes

Candidates must pass 10+2 exam from a recognized central/state board like Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, and Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi or

Candidates having a pass grade for the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with at least five subjects or
-
Candidates who have pass 3 or 4-years diploma recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education can apply for NIFT 2022 or
-
Any Board/Public School/University examination conducted in India or overseas accorded by Association of Indian Universities which is equivalent to 10+2 system or
-
Candidates completing the General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/Sri Lanka/ Cambridge/) at the Advanced (A) level/International Baccalaureate (IB) are eligible to apply for the NIFT entrance exam 2022.
Qualifying exam for BFtech programme

Candidates qualifying the +2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subject from any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination like Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, and Council for Indian School of Certificate Examination, New Delhi can fill the NIFT application form 2022 or

3 or 4-years diploma in any branch of Engineering which is recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education or

Candidates must have pass grade in the Senior Secondary School Examination with a minimum of five subjects with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics conducted by the National Open School or

Candidates who have qualified any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in foreign countries accorded by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to a 10+2 system with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or

Candidates who have cleared the General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/ Cambridge/Sri-Lanka) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics at the advanced (A) level / International Baccalaureate (IB) are eligible to fill the NIFT 2022 registration form.
