NIFT announces second round of counselling; registration to commence from July 20

Try NowNEW DELHI, JULY 9: National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) has announced the schedule for second round of counselling for B.Des and B.FTech admissions. The NIFT qualified candidates can register between July 20 and 23. It is compulsory for the candidates to be physically present at the time of counselling procedure. They will be called for admissions on the basis of their common merit rank between July 25 and 27, 2018.

The counselling procedure for round one of BDes admissions has been over on July 7, while for BFTech, it is being held from July 9 and 16. For B.Des admissions, candidates were called from common merit rank 1 to 6995, whereas for B.FTech admissions, candidates with common merit rank till 2705 are called.
NIFT has updated the vacant seats status on daily basis. As of now, there are unfilled seats in all the offered Bachelor of Design programmes-
- Fashion Design
- Leather Design
- Accessory Design
- Textile Design
- Knitwear Design
- Fashion Communication
NIFT conducted its own entrance exam for admissions to a total of 2,370 seats across Bachelor of Design (B.Des) and Bachelor of Fashion Technology (B.FTech) programmes.
NIFT 2018, a pen and paper-based admission test, was held on January 21 for admissions across 16 campuses of the institute located in Chennai, New Delhi, Gandhinagar, Bhopal, Jodhpur, Kangra, Bhubaneshwar, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kannur, Raebareli, Shillong, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Patna and Srinagar.
