NIRF India Rankings 2023: The rankings of Loyola College and Lady Shri Ram college dropped this year. Two colleges from Tamil Nadu and 1 from Kolkata in top 5.

NEW DELHI: University of Delhi’s Miranda College has been ranked the top college in the eighth edition of the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF 2023). The Union minister of state (MoS) education minister and external affairs Rajkumar Ranjan Singh announced that the Hindu College and Presidency College have been ranked second and third place respectively under the college category.
The ministry of education announced the NIRF Rankings 2023 today. The India ranking of Loyola College, Tamil Nadu has dropped from 4th position to 7th position this year. PSGR Krishnammal College for Women, Tamil Nadu was featured in the fourth position followed by St Xavier's College, Kolkata in the fifth rank.
Five out of the top 10 colleges in India are colleges affiliated to Delhi University. DU’s Lady Shri Ram College for Women ranking has dropped this year.

In a process to simplify the process and reforming the accreditation system, the ministry of education has suggested bringing the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) within the framework by replacing the current system to a binary accreditation system with just three outcome categories instead of NAAC grades and scores.
