NTA denies NEET UG 2026 re-exam paper leak rumours, warns against scammers

Try NowThe National Testing Agency (NTA) has rejected claims on social media and messaging apps about an alleged leak or sale of the NEET UG 2026 re-exam question paper and called them “false” and “fraudulent.”
In an official statement, the NTA said that these rumours are being spread by cheating groups that are trying to take advantage of students’ and parents’ worries by selling fake question papers for money.
“The NTA has seen messages on social media and messaging apps claiming a ‘leak,’ early access, or ‘sale’ of the NEET UG 2026 re-exam question paper . These claims are false, fraudulent, and meant to mislead people,” the NTA said.

NEET 2026 secure, no leak: NTA
According to the NTA, the exam process is secure, and all necessary safety measures are in place to ensure a fair exam for candidates. The agency also said that the integrity of the NEET exam has not been affected.
“The integrity of the exam process is fully maintained, and all safety measures are in place to ensure a fair and secure exam for all candidates,” the NTA said.
The agency also said it is actively tracking and reporting the channels, social media accounts, and online posts spreading false information. It added that the issue has been reported to cybercrime authorities for quick action.
The NTA said it is filing an official complaint with law enforcement and cybercrime agencies against people who are creating and sharing such content.
“Creating, sharing, or forwarding such fake content — and trying to cheat students — is a serious crime, and strict action will be taken against those responsible,” the agency said.
NTA warns against fake messages
The testing agency advised students and parents not to trust or respond to such messages, and not to pay anyone who claims to have NEET exam question papers. It also asked them not to share such messages further.
“We urge all students to ignore these rumours and follow only official information from the NTA through its verified website and channels. Any real updates will come only from these sources,” it said.
“To all students appearing for NEET UG 2026 — focus on your preparation with confidence. Your hard work matters, and the NTA is committed to conducting a fair, secure, and trustworthy exam,” the statement added.
