Ashish Sood takes oath as Delhi education minister, says ‘will fulfill promises made in manifesto’

Delhi Cabinet Ministers List: The new Delhi chief minister Rekha Gupta and PWD minister Parvesh Verma are graduates from Delhi University.
NEW DELHI: BJP MLA Ashish Sood has taken oath as the new Delhi education and higher education minister along with 5 other cabinet ministers who won the recent assembly polls. Sood has been appointed as minister of home, power, UD, training and technical education as well. Among the 7 ministers in Delhi Cabinet, chief minister Rekha Gupta is the only female.
Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma, who defeated Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP party by 4,089 votes in the recent assembly polls, took oath as the cabinet minister in the Delhi government in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Delhi Governor VK Saxena today.
Union home and cooperation minister Amit Shah and national president of Bharatiya Janata Party JP Nadda were also present during the ceremony held at the Ramlila Maidan. Along with Sood, Parvesh Verma, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Ravinder Indraj, Kapil Mishra, and Pankaj Kumar Singh were sworn in as ministers of the Delhi government.

After the swearing-in ceremony, Parvesh Verma wrote on his X account: “Today, at the historic Ramlila Maidan in Delhi, in the dignified presence of Honourable Governor Shri VK Saxena ji and Honourable Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta ji, I took the oath of office and secrecy as a Cabinet Minister in the Delhi Government.”
He said that “the BJP government is determined to accomplish unprecedented works of public welfare and development” and assured people that he will contribute 100% and work to fulfill all responsibilities to make Delhi viksit (developed) and self-reliant. He further said that the new Delhi Cabinet will fulfill all promises made in the manifesto.

Kapil Mishra - Law and Justice, Labour Department, Employment Department
Manjinder Singh Sirsa - Food supplies, forest and environment, Industries.
Ravindra Kumar Indraj – Social Welfare, SC, ST Affairs, Labour
Ashish Sood – Education, Higher Education, Revenue, Environment, Food and Civil Supplies
Pankaj Kumar Singh – Health and family welfare, information technology.
