Plea filed in SC to change CBSE compartment, private patrachar exams dates: Report

NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court has adjourned a plea to September 3 which sought directions to change the datesheet of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 12 second compartment, private patrachar exams so that these exams do not overlap with other competitive exams and entrance tests being conducted for UG admissions 2021, as per the NDTV report.

The plea also sought directions to CBSE to declare the results of second compartment and private patrachar examinations like that of the regular students.

Furthermore, the petition asked the Supreme Court to direct colleges and universities to ensure that the students who were supposed to appear for these two exams are admitted on a provisional basis, and their application is not rejected due to delay in the results.

According to the report, A bench of Justice AM Khanwilkar, Justice Sanjiv Khanna and Justice KK Maheshwari has directed a copy of the plea to be served to the Standing Committee of the respondents that are CBSE, AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education), and UGC (University Grants Commission).

The CBSE board had declared the result of Class 12 on July 30 and the offline improvement exams started on August 25. They will continue till September 15, 2021.
