PSEB declares 10th Board Result; Ludhiana boy tops with 98%

NEW DELHI, MAY 9: Punjab State Education Board has announced PSEB 10th result 2018 on May 9. T his year, 59.47 percent candidates have cleared the exam.
The first position has been secured by Gurpreet Singh of Ludhiana, who passed the exam with 98%. Jasmine Kaur of Bholath (Kapurthala district) bagged the second position with 97.85% while Puneet Kaur of Fatehgarh Sahib district stands third with 97.69%. The overall pass percentage in 2017 was 57.5%. PSEB 10th result 2018 includes details such as candidate’s name, roll number, subject-wise marks and qualifying status among others.
The result is available online in the Board’s official website - pseb.ac.in and candidates can check the same by entering their roll number or name in the appropriate field. Students can also access the result via SMS by typing PB10<space>roll number and sending it to 5676750. PSEB will soon issue original mark sheets to candidates which they can collect in person from their respective schools. The Board had conducted PSEB 10th Board exam from March 12 to 31, while the practicals were held from April 1 to 10, 2018.
PSEB was established in November 1969 through a legislative enactment aimed towards the development and promotion of school education in Punjab. The Board was granted autonomy in 1987 by the Vidhan Sabha. The Board is responsible for every aspect of school education in the state including exams operations, declaration of results, publication of text books, and preparation of syllabus. With its headquarters located at Ajitgarh (Mohali), a total of 13743 schools are currently affiliated to PSEB.
