Download EBookThe Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has announced the dates for online school-to-school migration and inter-board migration of students of Classes 8 to 12 for the 2025–26 academic session. As per the schedule, students can apply for migration till October 31, with a fee of Rs 1,000.
Students who miss the initial migration deadline can still apply between November 1 and November 28, 2025, by paying a fee of Rs 2,000. Students can apply for the PSEB Class 8 to 12 migration process through the board’s official website at pseb.ac.in.
“This is the final opportunity for online registration/continuation of students of Classes 8 to 12. No request will be entertained on any grounds after this. Therefore, schools must ensure that the registration/continuation process is completed strictly as per the prescribed schedule,” the official notice said.
The Board has instructed school heads and staff to ensure the process is completed accurately within the prescribed time frame. It has further clarified that in case the migration of any student remains incomplete for any reason, the entire responsibility will rest with the concerned school head or employee.
PSEB inter-board migration facility 2025
The inter-board migration facility is available for students studying under other state or central boards who want to seek admission in PSEB-affiliated schools. While the deadline for inter-board migration is the same as for school-to-school migration, the applicable application fee differs.
According to the Board, the inter-board migration process can be completed online with a fee of Rs 3,100. The migration request should be submitted within 15 days of the Transfer Certificate (TC) being issued by the student’s previous school.
Between November 1 and November 28, 2025, migration will be allowed with a fee of Rs 5,100, subject to the Chairman’s approval through the online process. “No migration cases will be accepted after November 28, 2025,” the board said.
To apply for the migration process, students will have to submit a written request to the PSEB-affiliated school where they want to take admission. Once accepted, the school will collect and upload the required documents, including the previous class result card, Transfer Certificate, and the current class quarterly or half-yearly exam result card. The migration request will then be forwarded to the Board within the prescribed time.
PSEB Class 8 to 12 registration deadline extended
Alongside the migration schedule, PSEB has also extended the deadline for online registration and continuation of students of Classes 8 to 12 for the 2025–26 session. In view of the disruption caused by floods and heavy rains in Punjab, the last date for registration has been extended to September 30, 2025.
Schools are required to complete the registration process through the Online Payment Gateway with a late fee of Rs 1,500 per student. For Class 8 institutions seeking new provisional identification numbers, applications should be submitted through the E-affiliation section of the Board’s website.
