Re-NEET 2026 Date, Time: NTA likely to announce result by July 20

Try NowThe National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to announce the re-National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET UG) results by July 20, a senior NTA official confirmed to ANI. Although the exact date and time for the announcement have not been disclosed, the official said the agency is working on a war footing to declare the results at the earliest. "We would not like to give out any date as of now, but the result will be out by July 20. Normally, the results are announced within 45 days of the examination, but this time, as we have conducted the exam in 37 days, we will announce the results much earlier," a senior NTA official told ANI during a telephonic interview.

The testing agency conducted the re-exam on June 21 after cancellation of May 3 exam. The agency released the provisional answer key on June 25, and candidates were allowed to raise objections till June 28. For raising each objection, candidate had to pay a fee of Rs 200 which will be refunded if the student's challenge is found to be correct.
NTA is now working to address challenges submitted by aspirants. NTA official said, "We need to scan all the challenges one by one, examine the supporting evidence, and respond to each one of them." Official further assured that despite re-exam, the academic year will not be delayed.

Counselling schedule
Post declaration of results, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will release the counselling schedule for the 15 per cent All India Quota (AIQ), AIIMS, JIPMER, central and deemed universities, while individual states announce separate schedules for their 85 per cent state quota seats. The first-year MBBS academic session usually begins in August or September. The counselling is conducted in multiple rounds to fill all available seats.
