The first stage of the RRB NTPC 2021 exam is of screening nature and questions that are asked are in accordance with the educational standards that have been prescribed for the posts for which recruitment will take place. The RRB NTPC normalized score for the first stage is used for announcing the RRB NTPC CBT 1 result 2021 and short listing of candidates for the 2nd Stage CBT as per their merit.

The primary objective to adopt the normalisation process before the announcement of the RRB NTPC CBT 1 result is to equalize the variation in the difficulty level of question papers.
