SC verdict on CBSE exams; now NEET 2020 aspirants can focus on preparations

New Delhi: The Supreme Court (SC) verdict on cancellation of CBSE examinations today comes as a big relief for the NEET 2020 aspirants. They can now carry on with their NEET 2020 exam preparations without worrying about their remaining board examinations. Due to the entire COVID-19 scenario, nationwide lockdown, and areas turning into containment zones, many candidates were not able to give their CBSE/ISC board examination. Such candidates were in a dilemma on how the exams will be conducted and when.

CBSE Class 12 examinations were scheduled from July 1 to 15. However, parents and teachers demanded cancellation of the exams due to the fear of community spread of coronavirus. Now, with the verdict out the exams have been cancelled and candidates will be promoted on the basis of those exams for which they have already appeared.

NEET 2020 aspirants can now focus on their exam preparations only, as this is their one time opportunity in this academic session to ace the single national level undergraduate medical examination.

NEET 2020: Upcoming important events
According to the National Testing Agency (NTA) the NEET 2020 offline examination will be conducted on July 26. The admit cards will be released 15 days prior to the date of examination. The NEET 2020 admit card is expected to be released on July 11 in online mode.

The NTA has also informed that they will release the NEET 2020 result within 15 days from the date of exam so that the admissions begin on time.

Preparation tips for NEET 2020
Here are some tips for candidates to prepare for NEET 2020 with only one month left for the exam.

• Candidates should make a study plan where they strategically cover all the important topics of NEET 2020 and are able to revise as well as clear doubts.

• It is imperative that candidates give more and more mock tests, solve previous years’ question papers and sample papers for better preparation, time management and to know about the question paper pattern.

• Medical aspirants must also take care of their mental and physical health as this is a very crucial time for them and any lapse here can lead to wastage of their entire preparation.

Exam day checklist
NEET aspirants must prepare a checklist for the exam day. This must include the following points:

• NEET admit card 2020

• Photograph to be pasted on the admit card

• Other required documents as notified by the authorities

• Dress code as specified in the information booklet
