The Maharashtra state govt received several complaints from parents who claimed that operators of school buses 'unreasonable' charge fees for 12 months even though they ferry students for only 10 months.

The parents of the student studying in Bhavan’s Rajaji Vidyashram School here took up the issue with the management of the CBSE school that maintained a ‘zero tolerance’ policy’ to violence.

"The global curriculum is part of a broader reform plan aligned with the new National Education Policy (NEP) which aims to provide students with greater flexibility and a globally competitive learning experience," a senior CBSE board member said.

ASP (North) Mukesh Chandra Mishra said the accident occurred when a school bus hit students on a motorcycle, killing them on the spot. The bus was reportedly returning from a wedding procession.
