SSC Stenographer Grade C, D 2025 notification out for 261 vacancies; registration begins at ssc.gov.in

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has issued the notification for Stenographer Grade C, D 2025 examination for the direct recruitment to 261 vacancies in the posts of Steno Grade C and Grade D in various ministries, departments, and organisations. As per the notification, eligible candidates can apply for the exam online on the official website, ssc.gov.in by June 26. The last date for making fee payment is June 27.

As per the eligibility criteria, the age limit for Stenographer C has been fixed as 18 to 30 years as on August 1, 2025 or those not born before August 2, 1995 and not later than August 1, 2007. For Steno Grade D, candidates must be in the age of 18 to 27 years as on August 1, 2025 or those not born before August 2, 1997 and not later than August 1, 2007.

Candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent examination from a recognized board or university as on or before the cut-off date, August 1, 2025.

In order to apply, applicants are required to pay an application fee of Rs 100. Female candidates and those belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) and Ex-servicemen (ESM) categories are exempted from payment of fee. The fee payment can be made online through BHIM UPI, net banking or by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, or RuPay Debit cards.
