Study Abroad: University of Lincoln starts registration for MSc Analytical Sciences

Candidates applying for MSc in Analytical Sciences will have to secure at least 50% marks in bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.

NEW DELHI: University of Lincoln has started the registration process for the Master of Science (Analytical Sciences) course for the academic year 2024-25. Candidates can apply for the programme on the official website, lincoln.ac.uk.

Indian and other overseas students will be able to file the application till January 2024. The university said students if the seats in the programme are occupied before the deadline then the admission process will be closed earlier.

Study in UK: Eligibility criteria

Students should have completed a bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent qualification, at a recognised institution. They should have secured at least a second-class honours Chemistry degree or in a science subject such as biosciences, pharmaceutical science, chemistry, forensic science, geology, geography, environmental science and archaeological science. The aspirants should have a score of at least 50% or 5.5 CGPA in the bachelor’s degree.

Candidates should possess English language proficiency equivalent to IELTS 6 overall score, with a minimum of 5.5 in each element. In case the applicant does not meet the above IELTS requirements, they will have to take part in one of the University of Lincoln’s pre-session English and academic study skills courses.

Indian students will have to pay a fee GBP 17,600 as programme fee. However, the university said it offers several scholarships and funded studentships and also education loans. Students can visit the direct link for checking the scholarships and loan opportunities.

The university added that the MSc in Analytical Sciences is designed to provide graduates in science and related subjects with systematic training in the application of modern analytical methods. The course looks to develop a solid set of practical skills as analytical scientist, leading to jobs in pharmaceutical, forensic, archaeological, and environmental analytical sciences.
