Telangana junior colleges to reopen on June 1; school summer vacation ends on June 12

The summer vacation in Telangana junior colleges across the state began on March 31.
NEW DELHI: The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) has announced that the summer vacation for all junior colleges in the state will end on May 31. The summer vacation in junior colleges across the state began on March 31.
The official TSBIE notice read, “All the Principals, Managements of Junior Colleges offering two year Intermediate Course and the stakeholders (Students and Parents) of Intermediate Education are hereby informed that the Summer Vacation is going to end on 31-05-2024 (Friday) for all the Junior Colleges. Hence, all the Junior Colleges will reopen on 01-06-2024 (Saturday) for the academic year 2024-25.”
Telangana schools reopening on June 12
As per reports, the academic schedule for the 2024 year which was published by the department of school education, announced that classes for Telangana schools will resume on June 12 following the summer break. According to the academic calendar 2024, there are 229 working days, with April 23 scheduled as the last day. The summer break began on April 24, and will end on June 11. The Dasara holiday falls between October 2 and October 14.
Puducherry school reopening postponed amid heat wave
In light of the ongoing heat wave, the Puducherry administration has made the decision to postpone the reopening of all schools across the region. Originally scheduled for June 6, the reopening date has been rescheduled to June 12. This revised timeline applies to all types of schools, including those managed by the government, private institutions, and those affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The move aims to ensure the safety and well-being of students and staff amid the prevailing extreme weather conditions.
