UP TET 2018 exam postponed to November 18

New Delhi, October 15: The Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) has postponed the examination date of UP TET 2018. As per the revised date, UP TET will now be held on November 18. Earlier, UPTET was scheduled to be conducted on November 4. Thus, with the postponement of the exam date, the aspiring candidates have got 14 more days to prepare for the test.
Along with the new exam date, the examination authority has also announced the result date. UP TET result 2018 will be declared on December 10.
The exam will be held in offline mode for the recruitment of teachers in schools across the state. UP TET 2018 will be held for 2 papers. Paper I will be conducted for those candidates who wish to be teachers from Class I to V, while Paper II will be held for those who want to be teachers from Class VI to VIII. However, candidates can also apply for both papers – Paper I and II if they wish to be teachers from Class I to VIII.
Each of the two papers will be held for 2.30 hours wherein candidates have to mark the correct answer option out of the 4 answer options. There will be a total of 150 questions wherein each correct answer will fetch 1 mark, while for incorrect answers, there is no negative marking. UP TET 2018 will be held across multiple exam centres in 73 cities of the state.
As per reports, the exam will be held against 68,000 vacancies. In order to qualify in the exam, General category candidates need to have 60% marks, while SC/ST and OBC candidates are required to score at least 55% marks.
Qualified candidates are given an eligibility certificate which is valid for 5 years. The eligible certificate of UP TET 2018 can be collected from the district education board by submitting details like admit card and photo identity card.
