Thiruvananthapuram to host EURAXESS Science Slam India finals

NEW DELHI, JULY 10: Thiruvananthapuram will host the finals of the EURAXESS Science Slam competition which will take place on November 30 at the Goethe-Zentrum in the city. The winner of the annual event will get a roundtrip ticket to Europe, and the unique chance to network with research peers in one of Europe’s top research institutes.
The competition is inviting entries from students and researchers of all fields and career levels (MA/MSc candidates and above in academia, private sector or related careers) in India. A review panel consisting of experts in research communication will pre-select five finalists who will compete for the title of EURAXESS Science Slammer India 2019 at the live finals in Thiruvananthapuram.
The EURAXESS Science Slam offers a platform for young research talents to showcase their work outside of the formal constraints of a research lab or classroom. The five finalists will be judged on the basis of their ability to capture the audiences’ attention with a precise, accessible and original introduction to their research topic.
