NEW DELHI: Union minister for tribal affairs Arjun Munda has inaugurated the fourth EMRS National Cultural and Literary Fest and Kala Utsav 2023, in the presence of Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, at Maharana Pratap Sports College, Dehradun.
The event is being organised by the National Education Society for Tribal Students (NESTS) and hosted by Eklavya Vidyalaya Sangathan Samiti (EVSS), Uttarakhand from October 3 to 6. More than 2,000 students of Eklavya Model Residential School (EMRS) from 22 states will participate in over 20 events such as dance, quiz, singing and visual arts during the festival.
Munda said such events provide children and teachers of EMRS with opportunities to meet each other, understand and learn about the cultures of different states of the country fulfilling the vision of ‘Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat’. “I believe that such programmes will inspire you and give you a good opportunity to know about your own culture as well as the rich traditions of the tribal communities living in different corners of the country,” he added.
