If applicants forget their application number, then they can obtain their application number by following the steps given below:

• Visit the UGC NET official website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in.

• On the login, window click on the ‘Forgot Application Number’ link available.

• Enter the required details such as your name, father’s name, mother’s name, DOB and security pin will be visible on the screen.

• Click on ‘Get UGC NET Application Number.’

• Your UGC NET 2024 application form number will be re-generated and sent to your registered mobile number.

Candidates will be able to find the below-mentioned details on their UGC NET scorecard:

• Candidate’s name

• Roll number

• Application number

• Father’s name

• Exam date

• Candidate’s category

• Marks and percentile obtained in each paper

• Percentage of marks secured

After the results are declared for UGC NET 2024, candidates will be able to download their scorecard from UGC NET’s official website ugcnet.nta.ac.in.

Candidates who appeared for the UGC NET June exam 2024 are demanding the expected date amidst delay in the declaration of NET results.

The UGC NET certificate for assistant professor and lectureship will be valid for a lifetime. However, the Junior Research Fellowship's UGC NET e-certificate has a validity of 4 years from the date issued.

• The UGC NET result link will appear on the screen.

• Enter your application number, password, and other details.

• Check and download your UGC NET 2024 result.

The UGC NET exam was held on June 18, however, it was canceled due to an alleged paper leak. The education ministry canceled the UGC NET June exam for the first time after receiving inputs on “compromise” in the integrity of the exam by the cyber crime branch.

NTA conducted the UGC NET exams from August 27 to September 5. The exam was held in computer-based test (CBT) mode for 83 subjects.

Candidates have been demanding UGC NET 2024 results citing delay in admissions to PhD programmes and appointment as assistant professors. Some aspirants also complained that they could not fill other exam forms due to delay in the declaration of UGC NET result 2024.

An advocate urged the NTA and UGC to declare UGC NET result 2024 immediately and warned of court intervention in case of further delay. In a letter to UGC chief M Jagadesh Kumar, the Supreme Court advocate explained how the delay in UGC NET 2024 results has disrupted the lives of aspirants. As per UGC NET June 2024 marking scheme, each question carries two marks. Candidates who attempt the question and answer correctly will be given two marks for each question. There is no negative marking for incorrect responses. No marks will be provided for questions left unanswered or left for review.
