NEW DELHI: Due to COVID -19 pandemic, this year there was extension in the last dates for application form of UGC NET and CSIR NET twice by the National Testing Agency. Candidates preparing for UGC NET 2020 or CSIR NET 2020 can fill their application form by 15 June 2020(Today). The application form was released on March 16, 2020 and the last date was May 16, 2020. Later, NTA extended the last date till June 15, 2020. Those candidates who were not able to fill the application form can fill it by today. Students are also advised to read the eligibility criteria of UGC NET and CSIR NET before proceeding. The examination dates for the same are yet to be announced by the conducting body.

UGC NET and CSIR NET: Steps to fill the Application form
Candidates are advised to read all the important information before starting the registration process and should be more careful while filling the application form. Mentioned below the important steps to fill the application form of UGC NET 2020 and CSIR NET 2020:

Visit NTA website - ugcnet.nta.nic.in and csirnet.nta.nic.in

Click on ‘link for online application’

Complete Registration by providing email id and mobile phone number
-
Candidates will get a registration and password on their email id.

Using that registration number, login and complete the application form.

Upload scanned copy of photograph and signature in the specification prescribed
-
Pay the application fee in online mode
-
Submit the application of CSIR NET 2020 or UGC NET 2020

Candidates must keep the print out of application form and payment receipt for future reference
Important things to keep ready before filling CSIR NET 2020 or UGC NET 2020 Application Form:

Scanned copy of photograph (10 kb - 200 kb) and signature (4 kb - 30 kb)

Class 10th and 12th mark sheets, graduation certificate and other academic certificates

Caste certificate (if candidate belongs to reserved category)

PWD certificate (if applicable)

Candidates have to submit the attestation form, attested by the HoD from the university if their results are in waiting list

More about UGC NET and CSIR NET:
UGC NET and CSIR NET is a national level exam conducted twice every year in June and December in online mode. Candidates must have Master’s Degree with minimum aggregate of 55% from a recognised university to become eligible for this examination. They can apply online in the subjects of their post-graduation or other related subjects.
However, the major difference between these two exams is UGC NET provides 101 subjects choice for the students from different streams and CSIR NET is specifically for those students who completed their post graduation in science stream.
