UGC NET 2026: Candidates can now apply for the competitive exam for JRF, PhD admissions, and assistant professor upto 11:50 pm.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the deadline to apply for the UGC NET June 2026 application process to May 24 upto 11:50 pm. Candidates can apply for the UGC NET June 2026 exam through the official website at ugcnet.nta.ac.in.

The NTA will open the UGC NET 2026 correction facility from May 26 to 28. Registered candidates will be able to make changes to their UGC NET 2026 application form with the help of the correction facility.
The UGC NET exam will be conducted from June 22 to June 30, 2026 at various centres across the country.
UGC NET 2026: Documents required to submit application
Candidates can check the documents needed to submit the UGC NET 2026 application.
- Recent passport-size photograph
- Scanned signature
- Valid email ID and mobile number
- Aadhaar card or government-issued photo ID
- Category certificate (if applicable)
- PwD certificate (if applicable)
- Postgraduate degree certificate/marksheet
- Final-year certificate (for appearing candidates)
- Debit card/Credit card/Net Banking/UPI details for fee payment
UGC NET 2026: How to apply for UGC-NET June 2026
Here are the steps given below to submit the UGC NET 2026 application form
- Visit the official website ugcnet.nta.nic.in
- On homepage, click on the “UGC-NET June 2026 Registration” link
- Complete the registration process using your basic details and create login credentials
- Log in and fill out the application form with personal, academic and exam details
- Upload scanned documents, including photograph and signature, in the prescribed format
- Pay the application fee online through debit card, credit card, net banking or UPI
- Cross-check the details mentioned before submiting the form
- Download the confirmation page for future reference
According to the NTA official notice, candidates applying without Aadhaar can begin the registration process by visiting the official UGC NET portal and selecting the sign-up option.
After entering their mobile number, UGC NET 2026 aspirants need to verify it through the OTP sent to the registered number.
During the application process, candidates can select alternative identity proof options such as a PAN Card or Driving Licence under the “Identity Type” section. Applicants must then carefully fill in their personal, academic, and communication details before proceeding to verification and final submission of the form.
