UPESSC has published the UP TGT 2026 provisional answer key. Candidates can download it, estimate scores using the marking scheme, and raise objections
Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has issued the UP Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) examination answer key 2026 on the official website of UPESSC at upessc.up.gov.in. Applicants can now calculate their estimated scores by using response sheets and provisional answer keys.
The UP TGT 2026 examination was held on June 3 and 4 at designated centres throughout the state. The recruitment exam was conducted in pen-and-paper mode and aims to appoint eligible candidates to 4,181 vacant teaching positions, including trained graduate teacher (TGT) and post graduate teacher (PGT) posts in aided secondary schools across UP.
The commission will release the UP TGT 2026 final answer key after reviewing all the objections after this the UPESSC will prepare the UP TGT 2026 result.

UP TGT Answer Key 2026: Objection window
The Commission has also opened a window for candidates to raise objections. Those who identify any errors or have concerns regarding the answers may submit their challenges within the stipulated deadline, along with relevant supporting documents. The authorities will examine all representations before issuing the final answer key.
UP TGT Answer Key 2026: Steps to download
Candidates can access and download the answer key by following the procedure outlined below:
- Visit the official website of UPESSC at upessc.up.gov.in
- On the homepage, open the “Notifications” or “Advertisement” section
- Click on the UP TGT Answer Key 2026 link and select the relevant subject
- The answer key PDF will be displayed on the screen
- Download the UP TGT Answer Key 2026 and take a printout for future reference
UP TGT 2026: Marking scheme
As per the official UP TGT 2026 marking scheme, the examination carries a total of 125 questions, with each correct answer awarded 4 marks. There is no negative marking for incorrect responses, and unanswered questions do not attract any penalty. The maximum score in the exam is 500 marks.

Candidates can estimate their probable score by multiplying the number of correct answers by four. For instance, if a candidate has answered 100 questions correctly, their expected score would be 400 marks out of 500.
