UPTAC 2025 round 2 choice filling ends tomorrow; seat allotment on August 5

UPTAC counselling 2025: Seat confirmation fee and willingness for upgradation can be submitted till August 7.
The Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Counselling (UPTAC) round 2 choice-filling process for BTech and BArch admissions 2025 has begun. The choices of courses and colleges will lock on August 3, and the seat allotment result will be announced on August 5. Candidates can modify their choices by logging in to the official admission portal at admissions.nic.in.
The first four rounds of UPTAC counselling 2025 for Bachelor of Technology (BTech) are only for candidates with a Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) score. Candidates with Common Universities Entrance Test (CUET UG 2025) scores and non-entrance exam students will be given admission after the institutional sliding round.
For Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) admissions, students who have appeared for JEE Paper 2 or the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA 2024-2025) are eligible to participate in UPTAC counselling.

UPTAC Counselling Round 2: Admission
For confirmation of admission in round 2, candidates must submit a seat confirmation fee of Rs 20,000. Reserved category candidates have to pay Rs 12,000. Selected candidates can accept the allotted admission by ‘freezing’ the seat, or can express willingness for upgradation through subsequent rounds by ‘floating’ the current seat. The ‘floated’ seat will be retained in case of non-upgradation.

The UPTAC internal sliding round will begin on August 18, after the physical reporting of all ‘freeze’ candidates at the allotted institutes. Admitted students can apply for different courses at the institute level.
