UPTET 2020 - Govt gives green signal to conduct exam, test to be conducted in last week of February

NEW DELHI - The Uttar Pradesh government has given a go ahead for the conducting of the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET). The decision was taken after Secretary, Exam Regulatory Authority, UP, Anil Bhushan Chaturvedi recommended for the UPTET 2020 exam to be conducted. It is likely that now UPTET exam will be conducted tentatively in the last week of February 2021. The detailed notification about the UPTET 2020 exam will be released soon by the authorities. Earlier the exam was supposed to be held in December and the registration for the same was to commence in the first week of November. However, due to the prevailing situation of COVID 19 pandemic, there has been a delay in holding the UPTET 2020 exam.

Know all about UPTET 2020 exam pattern
The UPTET 2020 exam will be conducted in offline mode for all the candidates. According to the UPTET exam pattern, the duration of the exam is 150 minutes in which the candidates will have to answer multiple choice questions. There will be no negative marking. UPTET 2020 will comprise two papers and one mark will be given for each question.

About UPTET 2020
Every year more than 15 lakh candidates register for the UPTET 2020 exam. In 2019, a total of 16, 34, 249 candidates registered for the exam as compared to 2018 when it was 17,83,716 candidates.
