NEW DELHI: The Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2021 has been cancelled after alleged paper leak reports. The Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) had scheduled the UPTET 2021 exam today. However, just before the exam began, the UP TET question paper went viral on several WhatsApp groups in Mathura, Ghaziabad and Bulandshahr, according to reports.

As per reports, the cancelled UPTET 2021 exam will be held after a month and candidates will not be required to pay the fee again.
"UPTET 2021 examination scheduled to be held today stands cancelled due to alleged paper leak. Dozens of suspects detained by STF in the paper leak case, the investigation is on. UP government will conduct the exam again within a month: Prashant Kumar, ADG, Law & Order," ANI reported.

Candidates have started flooding Twitter with memes and questions on alleged paper leak. An aspirant asked, "How does this paper get leaked before the exam in UP?"

Nearly 20 lakhs candidates had registered for the UPTET 2021 exam that was scheduled to be conducted at several exam centres across 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh. UPTET paper 1 was supposed to be conducted from 10 AM to 12:30 PM for primary school teachers for Classes 1 to 5. Whereas UPTET 2021 exam timing for paper 2 conducted for the eligibility for higher primary school teachers for Classes 6 to 8 was from 2:30 PM to 5 PM. today
