Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) Vellore has revised the exam pattern and syllabus for the VIT Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE 2027), including the required eligibility age limit and the addition of new exam centres. VIT will conduct VITEEE 2027 from April 27 to May 2.
Eligible candidates can apply for VITEEE 2027 on the official website at viteee.vit.ac.in by March 31.
New VITEEE 2027 exam centres include Chirala, Ongole, Mapusa, Vijayawada, Bilaspur, and Cuttack.
Last year, VIT introduced negative marking in the VITEEE marking scheme. Significantly, changes have been made to the number of questions asked, total marks, and a few topics have been added and reduced in physics, chemistry, and mathematics subjects.
Also, there is no age limit criterion for the VITEEE 2027 application.
VITEEE 2027 will be conducted in a computer-based test (CBT) mode at designated centers across India and overseas locations. All Questions will be of objective type — multiple-choice questions (MCQs) with the following sections:
For MPCEA Candidates | Number of questions |
Mathematics | 40 |
Physics | 25 |
Chemistry | 25 |
English | 5 |
Aptitude | 5 |
Total | 100 |
Candidates must note that they can appear only once for VITEEE 2027 and any violation will lead to cancellation of application and admission.
For BPCEA Candidates | Number of questions |
Biology | 40 |
Physics | 25 |
Chemistry | 25 |
English | 5 |
Aptitude | 5 |
Total | 100 |
The detailed syllabus for VITEEE 2027 is available at vit.ac.in and also available in Annexure. Candidates may refer to NCERT textbooks for VITEEE 2027 preparation.
As per the VITEEE marking scheme, candidates will be given four marks; one mark will be deducted for a wrong answer, and unwawered/marked for review will be given zero marks.
The duration of the exam is 2 hours without a break. No bio break will be allowed during the exam.
A fixed time limit is allotted for each section of the examination:
Subject | Minutes |
Mathematics / Biology | 50 minutes |
Physics | 30 minutes |
Chemistry | 30 minutes |
English and Aptitude | 10 minutes |
A mock test will be hosted on the official website tentatively in March 2027. VITEEE mock test 2027 will guide candidates through the exam layout, system functions, and test-taking procedures before the actual entrance exam.
