WBJEE decentralised counselling 2026 registration starts for 36,491 vacant BTech, BPharm seats

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) will begin the WBJEE decentralised counselling 2026 round 1 registration from today, September 7. WBJEEB has offered 33,857 engineering, architecture, and 2,634 pharmacy seats for WBJEE decentralised counselling 2026.

Candidates can apply for WBJEE decentralised counselling 2026 round 1 on the official website at wbjeeb.nic.in/wbjee/, by September 8. The board will publish the merit and allocation list on September 10.

Candidates will have to submit a one-time registration fee of Rs 250 for WBJEE decentralised counselling 2026.

WBJEEB has also issued a revised decentralised counselling brochure on its website after teachers’ and students’ groups raised concerns over the eligibility requirements for the admission process.

WBJEE Decentralised Counselling 2026: Who can apply?

Earlier, WBJEE scrapped the WBJEE decentralised counselling 2026 admission rule for students who have already been allotted a seat. According to the revised information bulletin, students who have participated in WBJEE counselling 2026 process and have been allotted seats can apply for the decentralised online process.

However, candidates who have already been admitted to a particular college in a particular stream or discipline combination cannot seek the same combination again through decentralised counselling.

Students having a valid WBJEE merit rank , JEE Main rank, or qualifying high school examination (10+2) merit can apply for WBJEE decentralised counselling 2026.

Additionally, candidates can submit fresh and existing choices, which may be added, removed, or modified only during the notified ‘Active Window’ period of the concerned phase.
