WBPSC Application 2023: A total of 300 General Duty Medical Officer vacancies will be filled up through this recruitment drive.
NEW DELHI: West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC) has commenced the registration process for recruitment of General Duty Medical Officer vacancies on September 21. Interested candidates can apply for the WBPSC General Duty Medical Officer posts through the official website, wbpsc.gov.in.
A total of 300 General Duty Medical Officer vacancies will be filled up through the WBPSC recruitment drive.

Candidates should not be older than 40 years of age for postgraduates and 36 years of age for regular medical graduates. Candidates that are competent and experienced will be granted a break. The age restriction will be set as of January 1, 2023.
Candidates may apply for these positions if they possess the medical credentials listed in the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956), first and second schedules, or part 2 of the third schedule. They must also be licenced to practise medicine in West Bengal.
It would be ideal to have completed six months of practical training as house staff at a government hospital or another recognised institution. Any form of private practise is prohibited.
