XAT 2026: Expected cut-offs for B-schools; past year trends

Try NowThe Xavier School of Management (XLRI), Jamshedpur, will announce the Xavier Aptitude Test 2026 (XAT) cut-offs for admission to MBA and PGDM programmes for the academic session 2026-28. The expected cut-offs for business and human resource management will be between 91 and 95 percentile, as per the previous years trends.

The XAT sectional cut-off will likely remain around 82 to 88 percentile, the trends show. Those qualifying the college admission test and obtained cut-off percentile will be eligible to participate in the admission process such as the group discussion and personal interview rounds.
The management school conducted the XAT 2026 on January 4 in a single shift from 2 pm to 4 pm. The results are expected to be declared tentatively between January 31 and March 31.
As per the marking scheme, candidates will be awarded one mark for each correct answer, whereas 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong response. “Negative marks awarded for each un-attempted question after 8 un-attempted questions: -0.10 marks,” as per the official website.
The XAT score is accepted by over 250 colleges across the country for admission to MBA and PG management programmes.
