XLRI- Xavier School of Management welcomes its new batch

NEW DELHI, JUNE 12: XLRI-Xavier School of Management welcomed 522 students into its student fraternity for the academic session of 2019 at the welcome ceremony for the freshers. Director Fr. P. M. Joseph Christie S.J, Dean (Academics) Dr Ashis K Pani, and Dean (Administration & Finance) Fr. Jerry Cutinha attended the ceremony along with current students, faculty, and staff members of XLRI.
A majority of the students enrolled in the institute’s flagship programmes such as the postgraduate diplomas in Business Management (PGDM-BM), Human Resource Management (PGDM-HRM), and General Management Programmes (PGDM-GM). Apart from these, students have also opted for a three-year Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM-BM) specifically for the evening students, Fellow Programme in Management (FPM), and Executive Fellow Programme in Management (EXEC-FPM).
Talking at the inaugural ceremony, the Director of XLRI Fr. P.M Joseph Christie S.J said,” One of the goals of XLRI is to produce women and men for others, people with great sensitivity to the needs of the poor and the disadvantaged and the marginalized. We need to be conscious of the needs of the underprivileged sections of our society in our decision making as business leaders so that we can work for inclusive and sustainable growth of India.”
The new batch of students will be taken for XLRI’s compulsory village exposure programme and an outbound adventure programme to create awareness about the realities of rural India and also to foster a sense of team spirit in them.
