10-Day Induction Programme Commences at MDI Gurgaon

NEW DELHI, JUNE 19: Management Development Institute, Gurgaon, inaugurated its 10-day induction programme for the Batch of 2018-20 from 15 June 2018. At the event, the Post Graduate freshers of 25 th batch of Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM), 15 th batch of PGP - Human Resource Management (PGP-HRM) and 13 th batch of PGP-International Management (PGP-IM) were given a glimpse of the exciting academic year ahead of them.
During the inaugural session of the mega event, Dr. Himadri Das, Director, MDI Gurgaon stressed the significance of networking skills and emphasized on an unforgettable and learning oriented journey at MDI.
Encouraging the students “to get motivated by challenges and not be intimated by them,” Mr. Shrikant Lonikar, CHRO & Director, Pernod Ricard kept the vigor alive. He said, “One should enjoy one's life and stay committed to one’s purpose. The key is to compete with yourself and not others. Find encouragement in your challenges and watch yourself improve day-by-day”.
Dr. Tapan Sahoo, Sr. VP, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. said, “world that is volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous, one needs vision, understanding, clarity, and agility. The three pillars of sustainability – economic, social and environmental can be measured. And, what can be measured can be improved,” accentuating on sustainability.
The keynote address by Mr. Tej Kapoor, MD & Head, Fosun RI Capital India, about the venture capitalist market in US, UK, China, South Africa and India, focused on the initiatives taken to enhance the technology regime by current government for development of the country.
The induction programme with industry stalwarts gave the new batch an insight to the future prospects, and provided an opportunity to go through their fear paradigm and be updated on the current managerial scenarios.
A workshop on Yoga to Manage Corporate Stress and emphasize the importance of fitness has been scheduled for 21 June, International Yoga Day. The statement said that the aim of this programme would be to create more healthy corporate professionals.
