IIT Guwahati has been ranked 51-70 in data science subjects and 51-100 in petroleum engineering in QS World University Rankings 2024 by Subject.

Download NowNEW DELHI: Delhi University and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Guwahati) has emerged as one of the top universities globally for the study of 25 and 15 subjects in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2024. The Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) compiled the rankings of more than 16,400 university programmes in 95 countries and territories across 56 academic disciplines and five broad faculty areas.

DU vice-chancellor Yogesh Singh said nine subjects witnessed a rise in the ranking while 11 remained unchanged. Four subjects of DU feature for the first time in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2024. The V-C said this time DU has got much better scores in development studies, anthropology, history, business and management studies, biological Science, computer Science and information systems, linguistics, chemistry and environmental science as compared to last year.
Guwahati QS rankings 2024
IIT Guwahati has been ranked 51-70 in data science subjects, and 51-100 in petroleum engineering. The institute has achieved rankings in broad subject areas:
- Engineering and Technology: The ranking rose to 210 from 222 in the last year
- Natural Science: Ranked 343 in comparison to 379 in the last year
- Arts and Humanities: Eank 510-550
